Tech21 produce a number of cases with the D3O Impact Material and today we got our hands on the Iphone 5 Impact Snap with Cover Case.
Tech21 are a UK based company that introduced us to Impactology and specifically the D3O Impact Material. This innovation has allowed mobile phone and tablet cases to incorporate some of the best protection available on the market. In short, the D3O Impact Material absorbs any impact from say a fall, and distributes the shock evenly across the surface of the material, thus keeping the device in one piece.
The Iphone 5 Impact Snap with Cover Case, is available in white and black and uses the D3O technology on the inside of the case, in the form of two orange strips.
As the name suggests, the Iphone 5 simply snaps into the case which holds it securely in place. Once installed, the impact case offers up holes for the camera and flash, lightning socket, headphone socket, speaker and microphone. The flip cover has a soft micro-fibre interior to ensure the phones screen doesn’t get damaged and a harder outer shell which provides added protection for the Iphone 5.
Whilst the Tech21 Impact case might add some bulk to the slimmer Iphone 5, it in no-way hinders any portability of the mobile phone and we would be more than happy to use this case day-to-day. Add in the Tech21 D3O technology and what you have is a case that provides great protection, looks good and keeps the Iphone 5 as slim as possible.
